62 persons quarantined in Tobago

The Tobago House of Assembly (THA) has quarantined 62 nationals at an undisclosed location on the island, as of March 23.

According to a release from the Division of Health, the nationals who returned from regional and international countries, have been quarantined for the required 14 day period.

Of the 62, two fell ill on March 22 and were taken to the Scarborough General Hospital for COVID-19 tests.

The health department is awaiting the results, the release said.

It noted that the other 60 persons are in good health and show no signs of the flu.

The nationals are being given a medical check-up twice per day, three meals, care packages from friends and relatives and reside in self-contained rooms, the release said.
