65 new infections, one new death from COVID-19 in Tobago

One more person is said to have died from COVID-19 in Tobago over the past 24 hours—an unvaccinated person. The death toll on the island now stands at 251. 65 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Tobago.

One more person is said to have died from COVID-19 in Tobago over the past 24 hours—an unvaccinated person.  The death toll on the island now stands at 251.

That’s according to the latest update from Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), dated Tuesday 22 March 2022.

The Division also is reporting in its update for 22nd March 2022 that 65 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Tobago.  These new infections bring the number of current active infections on the island to 486.

Currently, 18 people are hospitalised with COVID-19, 13 of whom have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while five (5) people have been fully vaccinated.

The Division’s update also notes that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 7,222.
