The Ministry of Health provides the following clinical update as of the morning of Saturday 12th September, 2020:
| Number of samples submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), the UWI and other local sites for testing for COVID-19. | 26,551 |
| Number of unique patient tests completed | 23,508 |
| Number of repeated tests | 3,043 |
| Number of samples which have tested positive at public and private facilities in Trinidad and Tobago | 2,892 |
| Total number of active cases | 2,076 |
| Number of deaths | 50 |
| Number of persons discharged | 766 |
The Ministry of Health provides the following update:
· Sixty-seven (67) additional persons have tested positive for COVID -19.
The sixty-seven (67) positive cases reported above show results from samples taken during the period September 2nd to September 12th, 2020. Therefore, this figure is NOT representative of the positive cases over the last 24 hours only.
· Four (4) persons have been discharged.
COVID-19 Positive Patients in Hospital – (113)
One thousand, seven hundred and sixty-eight (1,768) patients have been home isolated under the continuous monitoring of the respective County Medical Officer Health (CMOH) offices.
Sixty-seven (67) new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the CMOHs.
