Seven more people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in this country, moving the national death toll up to 930, according to the latest update from the Ministry of Health.

And the Ministry also is confirming 161 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of active cases in the country to 6,217 patients.  These latest cases represent samples taken between July 5th and 8th, 2021.

In its update for today, Friday 9 July 2021, the Ministry also is reporting that some 140,135 people are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, having received their second dose, while the numbers of those with first doses has increased to 225,311.

The Health Ministry also notes in its update:

● 337 persons are still hospitalised for COVID-19; up from 332 patients on Thursday.

● 5,603 persons are in home self-isolation; up from 5,536 patients on Thursday.

● 272 persons are in State quarantine facilities; up from 248 patients on Thursday.

● 116 patients are still recovering in step/down facilities; no change from Thursday.
