7 more people test COVID positive in Tobago

Seven (7) more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Tobago, according to the latest update from Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) for Sunday 13th March 2022. These new infections bring the number of current active infections on the island to 386.

Seven (7) more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Tobago, according to the latest update from Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) for Sunday 13th March 2022.  These new infections bring the number of current active infections on the island to 386.

The Division also is reporting that there have been no new deaths from COVID-19 in Tobago over the past 24 hours, so the total number of deaths on the island remains at 247.  The last death from COVID-19 recorded in Tobago was on Saturday March 12th—an unvaccinated person.

Currently, ten people are hospitalised with COVID-19, nine (9) of whom have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while one (1) people have been fully vaccinated.

The Division’s update also notes that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 6,926.
