Officers from the T&T Police Service (TTPS) arrested 73 people for breach of curfew hours over the weekend.

A total of 152 face mask tickets were also issued and six people were arrested for breach of the Public Health Regulations.

In a release yesterday, the TTPS said 28 more people had been arrested Saturday into yesterday for breaching the curfew, adding to the 45 who were arrested during the previous reporting period.

It also reported that 61 more people were charged with face mask violations, adding to the 91 during the previous reporting period.

The TTPS conducted 906 patrols—494 on Saturday and 412 yesterday—and set up a total of 85 roadblocks over the weekend to catch the perpetrators.

The TTPS also disclosed that as of yesterday, 217 officers had tested positive for COVID-19 and 1,096 are currently in quarantine.

The TTPS also urged citizens to adhere to the SoE and Public Health Regulations and said it welcomes information on possible breaches.
