The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to become very active over Trinidad and Tobago from early morning tomorrow, Thursday 1st October 2020.
In a press release issued this evening, the TTMS stated that this abundance of moisture and favourable upper-level conditions, in addition to the passage of a tropical wave, will create very unstable conditions over our area.

As such, periods of showers and rain are likely in most areas and occasional thunderstorm activity can be expected as well. Accompanying this shower activity will be a surge of winds in the low levels which will promote very gusty conditions, particularly during heavy showers and thunderstorms.
