A total of 20,000 Always® pads will be donated to the non-profit organisation, Kids in Need of Direction (KIND) as part of a hamper donation drive to families currently affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

AMCO, the distribution and marketing company for Always® products, has maintained a close relationship with KIND through its continued support of the Always® End Period Poverty campaign, which distributes pads to schoolgirls across Trinidad and Tobago.

Reshma Geawan, AMCO Business Unit Head – Proctor & Gamble, said the pads will be placed in hampers which are being distributed and coordinated by KIND.

“We are pleased to be part of this initiative. Our goal is to support families in need, especially during this difficult time by helping people take care of their personal health and hygiene,” she said.

KIND will be distributing hampers directly from its Laventille headquarters to the surrounding areas of East Port of Spain, Beetham, Laventille, Morvant, San Juan and Cunupia and is also coordinating additional hamper deliveries through a distribution network to reach other communities across the country:

*    Servol Junior Life Centre – Cascade, Belmont, St. Ann’s

*    Blanchisseuse Community Centre – Blanchisseuse, La Fillette

*    St. Vincent De Paul – Paramin, Cameron, Maracas, Maraval

*    Queens Park Cricket Club – Carenage, Cocorite, Bagatelle, Diego Martin

*    Hillside Community Centre – St. Joseph, Curepe, St. Augustine

The NGO is also distributing hampers to The Shelter for Battered Women and Children and the Credo Foundation. During the delivery and distribution of the pads, representatives will be implementing strict social distancing measures.

AMCO is encouraging persons to continue to take part in the Always® End Period Poverty campaign which triggers a donation for every pack of Always® pads purchased. The Always® team expressed their gratitude to all those who have supported the campaign thus far, which allowed this COVID-19 relief donation to be made.
