Even as corporate T&T heeds the government’s call to sponsor devices, the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Trinidad is on a mission to raise funds to purchase 400 devices for needy children.

Speaking to Guardian Media yesterday, President of The Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Of Trinidad & Tobago Roshan Parasramsingh said the APS will be hosting a virtual fundraiser from 6 pm on Saturday, September 27 so that it could help students from across its nine schools.

Saying the lack of devices was having an adverse effect on the children’s future, Parasramsingh said they were trying to ensure that no child is left behind.

“Your support will go a long way in providing our students with an excellent opportunity to access online teaching and learning, especially in these unprecedented times,” he said.

He added, “We want to ensure that no child is left behind so we kindly urge you to support our cause for the education of our children.”

The concert which is being held in collaboration with 103.1 FM Radio will feature performances by Nirmala Sesnarayan and Nithya, Rohit Samuel, Khalnayak Dance Academy and a Special Performance by Neval Chatelal.

Parasramsingh said they were also hoping to get sponsorship from past students both local and abroad.

“For those who live abroad, we have arranged payment options,” he said.

Anyone wanting to assist the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Trinidad with donations for devices can make contributions to Account Number 935049-0201 at JMMB Bank, Chaguanas or call Malisia at 768-9844 or Jean 330-8272 for further information.
