Aranguez accident victim still unidentified

Police are yet to determine the identity of a man who was fatally knocked down while attempting to cross the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in Aranguez, last evening.

Police are yet to determine the identity of a man who was fatally knocked down while attempting to cross the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in Aranguez, last evening.

According to a police report, at about 7:28 pm, a silver-grey coloured Nissan B15 was proceeding east in the far-right lane along the highway in the vicinity of Kash Highway Bar, when it fatally struck an unknown male, who was attempting to cross the highway.

The man reportedly had been dressed in dark coloured clothing.

The 21-year-old driver was interviewed on the scene by a party of police officers who responded shortly after.

The vehicle, which was damaged on the left side front bumper and windscreen, subsequently was wrecked to the San Juan Sub-Station for safekeeping.

Police said the driver was uninjured.

Investigations are continuing.
