An Arima man was arrested for wounding with Intent by officers of the Arima Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

According to police reports, On September 17th PCs Thomas and Lajenesse, were on mobile patrol when they responded to a report of wounding at Calvary Hill, Arima. Upon arrival, the officers met and interviewed a 25-year-old of Rose Drive, Evergreen, Carapo, who reported that around 9:30 pm she was with her friend, and a 24 year- old man of Pascal Lane, Carapo.

While liming, the man slit her throat as well as her friend’s throat and escaped in a sliver vehicle. The victims were conveyed to the Arima Health Facility where they were treated, then transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.

At 11 pm on the same day, the suspect walked into the Arima Police station and surrendered. He was arrested for wounding with intent. Investigations are continuing.
