The Arouca police station which was closed last Thursday by Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith has been re-opened. The station was closed for sanitisation after an officer reported to work with flu-like symptoms.

The Arouca Police Station, which was closed last Thursday after one of its officers suffered from flu-like symptoms, was reopened on Sunday, 29th March. This was confirmed by Senior Supt Sheldon David, Head of the Northern Division. Mr David said the officer was sent for testing. On Sunday, the results were released showing that the officer was negative with respect to the COVID19 virus. After the officer had developed the flu-like symptoms, the Arouca Station was closed. The station was completely sanitized the same day. Several units which were affected by the closure, are back in operation at the Arouca Police Station.
