The burnt body of a man was found in his vehicle at Ste Madeleine, this morning.
Police believe the body is that of a former fire officer Christopher Hosein, who was the managing director of Experts Fire and Safety Limited in Princes Town.
According to police reports, around 6:30 am, a farmer on his way to his garden at the Taskar Road discovered the burnt Kia Sorento along a dirt road. He contacted the police who found the burnt body inside the vehicle. The victim’s hands were bound.
Reports are Hosein was last seen at his home on Tuesday night. Police are still trying to ascertain a motive behind the killing.
44-year-old Hosein had two daughters, one of whom wrote the Secondary Entrance Assessment exam in August. When the media went to his home in Princes Town today, a woman came out but declined to be interviewed.
Visiting the scene were a team officers from Princes Town CID, Ste Madeleine CID and Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 3.
Investigations are ongoing.
