A decomposing body found in a makeshift grave in Princes Town last week has been identified as missing father Steve Hyacinth.
Thirty-nine-year-old Hyacinth of Woodpecker Lane, Pleasantville and Laltoo Trace, Penal, was last seen by his relatives on July 1. Hyacinth, also known as Ganzie told relatives he was going to meet a friend at St Joseph, San Fernando.
His car was subsequently found at the San Fernando General Hospital.
However, checks by the police revealed that he was neither admitted nor treated at the hospital.
Instead, his decomposing body was found in a makeshift grave in Buen Intento Road, Princes Town on July 8.
Due to the advanced state of decomposition, identification was done through fingerprints.
Investigations are continuing.
