The decomposing body of a man was found in a shed in a forested area in Mt Lambert on Sunday.
According to a police report, officers from the San Juan Police Station received information and went to a vacant piece of land opposite AMC Group of Companies.
After walking some distance off the road into the forested area, officers came across a shed in the trees. During a search the officers found a partially decomposed body of a man of African descent.
Police said the man appeared to be approximately 55-years-old and was dressed in a red jersey and black pants.
Police said so far they have learnt that the man went by the alias “Buju” and was originally from the St Joseph area.
Police said “Buju” was last seen alive approximately one month ago.
Police are working to ascertain the man’s real name and determine how he died.
Investigations are continuing.
