San Fernando CID is seeking the public’s assistance in finding a 45-year-old man, whose burnt rental car was found after he went missing on Tuesday.

Wade Charles, of Palmiste, was last seen leaving the Southern Medical Private Hospital along Quenca Street, San Fernando, at about 9.25 pm. He had been visiting his wife, who is a patient at the hospital.

Investigators were told that he left driving a white Nissan Versa, registration PDS 7816, which he rented from Kalloos Auto Rental in Piarco.

Calls to his cell phone were unanswered and GPS tracking led investigators to a gravel road off the northbound lane of the Solomon Hochoy Highway, near the Guaracara Refining Company, Pointe-a-Pierre. The car was gutted, but police were able to retrieve the registration plate, which confirmed it was the same car Charles had rented. However, he was nowhere to be found.

The car was wrecked from the site and taken to the San Fernando CID compound, where crime scene investigators are expected to process it for evidence.

Anyone with information that can help police locate 45-year-old Wade Charles is asked to contact the nearest police station, or make a report on the TTPS App.

Wade Charles is approximately five-feet-eight-inches (5’8”) tall and weighs approximately 230 lbs. He has a dark brown complexion and a heavily built physique. His hair is black and cut in a low hairstyle, and he has a short black beard and brown eyes.

Wade Charles was last seen wearing a white long-sleeve shirt, a pair of long black pants and a pair of black shoes.
