The University of Trinidad and Tobago’s Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design will make a special appearance at the 3rd edition of the Fashion &Talents fashion show, geared towards funding research on the PCDH19 gene.
The University of Trinidad and Tobago’s (UTT) Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design (CAFD) will be featured at the 3rd edition of the fashion show Fashion & Talents by Italy’s eCampus University and Accademia del Lusso.
The creations of fashion design students from around the world along with CAFD graduate Garrett Roberts, will grace the catwalk on September 9, 2021 at Piazza deSpagna, Rome, in support of the non profit organisation, Insieme per la Ricerca -PCDH19 (Together for the research on PCDH19). The organisation’s objective is to promote and fund research on mutations of the PCDH19 gene, responsible for significant conditions such as epilepsy, developmental disabilities, and autism in girls.
eCampus University is one of the main Italian online Universities, and Accademia del Lusso is an exclusive institute for young talent who want to launch their career in the fashion and luxury system in Italy and abroad.
The Fashion & Talents show is an incubator of international talents and provides an occasion for the sharing and meeting of art, inspiration, and originality, an ever-renewed pool of different expressive languages. It also allows young designers to express themselves in full autonomy and to the maximum of their technical and creative potential.
UTT commends the Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design (CAFD) for its continued dedication to developing talent in the fashion and design sectors.
