Caribbean Airlines has been recognised at the World Travel Awards 2020, Caribbean Gala Ceremony, with the prestigious award—Caribbean’s Leading Airline Brand. This is the fourth consecutive year the airline has earned the title.
Caribbean Airlines was also nominated in the Caribbean’s Leading Airline category, an award the airline won consecutively from 2010 to 2019.
Caribbean Airline’s chief executive officer, Garvin Medera stated, “It is an honour to be recognised by the World Travel Awards. This is testimony to our ongoing commitment to operational and brand excellence; and our efforts to continually enhance the customer experience both on board and on the ground. We extend our gratitude to our employees and all stakeholders for their continued support.”
Last year, the airline launched several service enhancements including a mobile app; a new revenue management system; a vacations & tours unit; as well as new routes to Curacao and Grand Cayman. Caribbean Airlines is also ranked 96 of 332 global airlines for On-Time Performance in 2019.
In the coming weeks the airline said it will unveil its 2020 marketing campaign which promises to be riveting.
The Caribbean Gala Ceremony was held on January 20, at the Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau and was attended by industry leading figures and professionals from across the Caribbean. Caribbean Airlines’ executive manager Marketing & Loyalty, Alicia Cabrera and GM Jamaica (Ag), Trudy Chin, received the award on behalf of the airline.
