CAL passenger dies on aircraft

A male passenger died on a Caribbean Airlines (CAL) aircraft which was en route to Barbados today..

This was confirmed by CAL when Guardian Media contacted the airline on the issue.

The aircraft was Jamaica/Barbados bound. The passenger, who was between 35 to 45 years old, died during the flight.

Other passengers who witnessed what occurred told Guardian Media the man was discovered unconscious in the aircraft’s toilet after flight attendants found he was taking long in there.

They added that a doctor, who was on board the flight, assisted to revive the man who had been talking. But he subsequently died.

The plane made its scheduled stop in Barbados and was expected to continue to the US stops.

CAL stated, “There was a medical emergency. The crew followed all the relevant operating procedures but regrettably the passenger expired, CAL extends condolence to the family and loved ones of the deceased.”
