In a police exercise conducted in the Biche community, officers seized a quantity of marijuana and a camouflage jacket. Details follow in this press release from the TTPS.

A 50-year-old man is currently in police custody assisting the police with their investigations into the seizure of a quantity of marijuana this morning.

Acting on information, police officers attached to the Eastern Division Task Force (EDTF) and Sangre Grande Criminal Investigations Department (CID), executed an exercise in the Biche community where they allegedly found a man to be in possession of 82 grammes of cannabis.

The suspect was later arrested and charged in connection with the find.

Meanwhile, during the course of the same exercise, the team of officers proceeded to Gonzales Street, Biche, where they seized 280 grammes of cannabis along with a camouflage pants and jacket at an open area.

Anyone with information on the owner of the narcotic and the camouflage clothing found along Gonzales Street, Biche, is asked to contact the EDTF or the Sangre Grande CID at 668-4315 or 691-0133, respectively.
