Relatives of Keithisha Cudjoe will host a candlelight vigil in remembrance of the late mother of one this evening at the Queen’s Park Savannah.

“It’s for the life of Keithisha and to end violence in our society on a whole,” her cousin Ziana Cujoe-Chadee said.

Starting at 6.30 pm the group will walk from TGI Friday’s around the savannah with candles and flyers. They are pleading with participants to obey the COVID-19 regulations.

“We looking at 50 to 75 people… Walk with your candle, “she said.

She said she knows that many people are passionate about the protection of women in this country but said she wants the walk to go smoothly.

Some family members plan to address the gathering.

21-year-old Cudjoe will be laid rest on Thursday at 10 am at the Dennie’s Funeral Home Chapel. She will be buried at a Carenage Cemetery.
