A Chaguanas man died yesterday, after the concrete mixer truck he was in overturned at Speyside in Tobago.

He has been identified as Ronnie Nanack, 42, of Nolan Street, Felicity.

His distraught brother Anil Nanack said family members were still awaiting details of the accident and what transpired before they can make any further disclosures when contacted yesterday.

Anil said his brother worked for a concrete supply company.

Nanack was married and had three children. He was also very popular in the community and was an avid Ramleela performer with the First Felicity Ramleela and Cultural Group.

Sundar Johkhoo, 52, head of the Ramleela Group, said Nanak played the role of Narad Muni, Ram and Latchman and will be missed.

Jookhoo said, “This struck a serious blow in us when we heard the tragic news. Ronnie had been playing Ramleela for more than 15 years and was an integral part of the group. Ramleela is part of the wider cultural element of T&T and his absence would be missed. He had voluntarily contributed so much of his time and energy and we offer our condolences to his family from the First Felicity Ramleela and Cultural Group.”
