A Gasparillo coconut vendor was shot dead on Monday night as he sold coconuts along the Bonne Aventure Road.
According to reports, two men, identified by police so far as only as Fireman and Footsie, were selling coconuts along the Bonne Aventure Road in Gasparillo around 7.30 pm when the attack happened.
The men were approached by two armed men who opened fire on them.
Guardian Media was told Fireman was killed at the scene while Footsie managed to escape and drive away from the scene.
Eyewitnesses say neither of the gunmen wore face masks and casually walked to the coconut stall to attack their targets.
After the shooting, the men ran off in the same direction they came from.
