Concerned citizens march for COVID-19 transparency

A small group of citizens comprising of Islamic Front leader Umar Abdullah, along with businessman Gary Aboud, marched to the Red House from Morvant today, to deliver letters to the Prime Minister and Opposition Leader.

A small group of citizens comprising of Islamic Front leader Umar Abdullah, along with businessman Gary Aboud, marched to the Red House from Morvant today, to deliver letters to the Prime Minister and Opposition Leader.

Dubbed “A walk for COVID-19 Transparency” by the group, their signs read “Vaxxed or Unvaxxed, we are all one people”, “Justice, equality and respect for all”, and “Demand informed consent”.

The group had received permission to stage march from the Police Commissioner on the condition they kept their numbers low and did not hold any press conference in public.

Afterwards, the group held a press conference to explain what the letters entailed.

Scheduled to speak at the press conference were: Umar Abdullah, head of The First Wave Movement and The Islamic Front’s leader; Lydon Mack, head of the Trinidad and Tobago Human Rights Voice (TTHRV); Peter Morris, General Secretary of the Seamen and Waterfront Workers Trade Union (SWWTU); David Muhammad, head of  The Nation of Islam and The Black Agenda Project; and businessman Gary Aboud.
