RHONDOR DOWLAT-ROSTANT
Police are trying to determine the motive behind the killing of a 39-year-old construction worker in a shooting incident in Morvant, on Sunday night.
The victim has been identified as Rodney “Dado” Victor, of #2 Redwood Street, Morvant.
According to a police report, at about 8:25 pm, Victor was in the company of several persons inside a bar playing Roulette, when a gunman walked in and opened fire.
Reports are the group scattered; however, Victor reportedly collapsed to the ground as he had been shot. Before leaving the scene, the gunman is said to have shot Victor several times about his head and body as he lay on the ground. The gunman then ran off.
The incident was captured on CCTV footage at the bar.
Police said Victor died on the scene. He was positively identified by his father who told police that he is not sure why anyone would have wanted his son dead.
Police are yet to determine a motive for the killing.
