Twenty-two (22) fully grown marijuana trees, with a street value of $88,000, were uprooted and destroyed in Moriah, Tobago, yesterday.

According to police reports, officers of the Moriah Police Station discovered the trees on the eastern side of the roadway at Craig Hall Trace No 2 Moriah.

The trees were uprooted and destroyed by the officers.

No one was arrested.

The exercise was coordinated by ASP Rampersad, spearheaded by W/Sgt Prince, supervised by Ag Cpl Ramjitsingh and included PCs Antoine and Lewis of the Moriah Police Station.

Investigations are ongoing.
