Police officers conducting an anti-crime exercise in the Diego Martin area on Wednesday found and seized a quantity of ammunition hidden in a bushy area in the cemetery along Cemetery Street, Diego Martin.

Official police reports state that officers searched the bushy area in the cemetery and unearthed a black plastic bag containing 23 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition.

The anti-crime exercise, which was carried out between 9 pm and Midnight of Wednesday August 18th, included officers of the Western Division Operations and the Western Division Task Force.

In addition, one man was arrested and charged for possession of 123 grammes of marijuana, during the police operation in the Western Division.

A search warrant was executed at the home of ISAIAH ALLEN, 21, of Cemetery Street, Diego Martin. The marijuana allegedly was found in the house.

The charge was laid by PC Tafari.

The exercise was spearheaded by Snr Supt Kelvern Thompson and Supt Henry and coordinated by Sgt Carmona.
