Police officers search for evidence following the shooting incident at Kathleen Warner Drive, La Horquetta yesterday.

Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred in La Horquetta and Maloney on Thursday evening.

According to preliminary investigations, in La Horquetta, police said, a man was sitting on a culvert at Phase 1 when he noticed an Almera pulling up on him and stopped suddenly.

It is believed that the man opened fire on the occupants who alighted the vehicle.

The occupants, police said, ran off.

Police said the man told them that he feared for his life when he saw what was happening.

Police said they believe that two of the occupants were hit.

The man is to be questioned further.

In the Maloney incident, police said details were still sketchy, however, they received a report of a shooting near Building 18 in the vicinity of the Nazrene church. It is believed that one man was shot and wounded.

Both shootings occurred after 6 pm.
