Police have shot and killed a man whom they believe was plotting to assassinate the Commissioner of Prisons and members of his family.
The officers confronted the man at his home this morning, following which he was shot dead. Police claim the man tried to use his wife as a human shield. She was also shot dead.
The incident took place at Bhagaloo Trace in Enterprise.
The deceased couple has been identified as Anthony ‘Bago’ St Louis and Natalie Alexander.
According to a preliminary police report, at about 5:30 am on Wednesday August 11th, a crime repression exercise took place in the Central Division relative to an investigation into a report of a conspiracy to kill the Prisons Commissioner, Dennis Pulchan, and members of his family.
The report stated that officers attempted to board and search the home of suspected conspirator, St Louis, and allegedly were greeted with gunfire.
The officers returned fire and shot and killed the suspect along with Alexander, whom the suspect, police said, used as a human shield. A firearm was recovered from the scene.
