A Debe man was arrested after police discovered 94 stolen animals on his property.
Officers of the Mayaro Criminal Investigations Department and Task Force, under the supervision of Sgt. Bhim, conducted extensive enquiries after a report was made by a watchman at the Mayaro Breeding Unit.
According to the victim on August 16th around 1:00 am while on duty he was approached by two armed individuals who restrained him and relieved him of a cellular phone, keys to the facility, keys to a tractor, and his black Toyota Yaris motor vehicle.
The assailants also took a number of sheep and goats from the facility before escaping. According to the police reports, during the exercise, officers proceeded to the Debe home of a male suspect, where they executed a search warrant which resulted in 94 animals being discovered. The suspect was arrested in connection with the find.
