The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force has suspended—until September—the requirement for veterans and their dependents to submit Life Certificates.

In an official statement, the Defence Force says this is in keeping with the latest Regulations concerning COVID-19.

The full test of the Defence Force’s release, follows…

SUSPENSION OF THE SUBMISSION OF LIFE CERTIFICATES
FOR THE PERIOD 07 APRIL 2020 TO 30 SEPTEMBER 2020

In keeping with the measures implemented by the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago pursuant to Legal Notice No. 71 of 2020 (dated 06 April 2020) and in an effort to reduce the spread of the COVID-19, the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force wishes to advise its veterans and dependents that it has suspended the requirement for the submission of Life Certificates for the period 01 April to 30 September 2020.

We are cognisant that our veterans are among the most vulnerable and we are committed to ensuring that we limit their exposure.

The Defence Force will advise members via the media when the process will be reopened.

We thank you for your support and understanding.
