The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) says their customers in Barrackpore and environs will experience a disruption in their water supply on August 18th. This is to facilitate pipeline works at the corner of New Colonial Road and Barrackpore Trace, Barrackpore. The following is a press release from WASA:

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in Barrackpore and environs that there will be a disruption in their pipe borne water supply on Wednesday 2021 August 18, between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

This is in order to facilitate pipeline interconnection works, at the corner of New Colonial Road and Barrackpore Trace, Barrackpore. Affected areas include: Barrackpore, Borde Narve, Papourie Road, along Cipero Road from Chinese Wrecking to Cottage Road, New Colonial Road, GP Road, Rochard Douglas, Rochard Road, Transfer Village, Digity, Rock Road, Platinite Trace.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 12 hours for the water supply to normalize to some affected areas, following the completion of these works. Motorists are asked to proceed with caution in the vicinity of the jobsite and to obey the instructions of the Police Officers on duty, since only single lane traffic will be available.
