Two men were killed in Glencoe last night, taking the murder count to 253.
The victims were identified as Kareem “Cheng” Pierre, 34, of Upper Haig Street, Carenage, and Brandon Luke, 22, of La Horquette Drive, Glencoe.
According to a police report, the two friends were liming along the roadway among a group near Luke’s home when at about 7:05 pm, an unmarked silver Nissan Tiida drove past them.
Police said they were told that the vehicle came to a stop and three masked, armed men came out and shot at them.
The group dispersed but Pierre and Luke were both shot several times about their bodies.
The suspects escaped in the vehicle in which they came.
Pierre died at the scene while Luke was taken to the St James Hospital and was pronounced dead at 7.28 pm.
