Four Roads Police continue to appeal to the public to assist in identifying the body of a teenager found dead in a swimming pool on St Anthony’s College compound on Wednesday evening.

Sgt Telesford told Guardian Media on Friday that no one has come forward to identify the youngster’s body.

Telesford said around 5.15 pm on Wednesday, residents of Morne Coco Road, Westmoorings, where the school is located, heard screams coming from the compound. The swimming pool, operated by Marlin’s Swim Club, is located on the same compound as the college. The residents cut the chains to the gate of the college and discovered the teen’s body lying at the bottom of the pool.

The residents called an ambulance and pulled the victim’s body from the water and tried to revive him.

Their efforts and attempts by emergency responders to resuscitate the victim were all unsuccessful. Police were called to the scene and although officers interviewed people in the community, no one came forward to identify the victim.

Police say the body is that of a slim built male of African descent, about five feet six inches tall with an afro hairstyle and a moustache. Police estimate the victim’s age to be in the mid to late teens. Anyone with information on the teen’s identity is urged to contact the Four Roads Police Station at 637-3860 or Sgt Telesford at 781-0364.
