Responding to the announcement of the December 6 election date, the leader of the Progressive Democratic Patriots in Tobago Watson Duke assured that the PDP, which won six of the twelve seats in the THA election in January, is ready.
In a brief voice note, Duke described the announcement as the moment that Tobago has been waiting on, “the date for the rematch between the PDP and the PNM.”
Duke expressed confidence in the people of Tobago saying they are “sharp and more ready to tip the scales in favour of the PDP.”
But even so, he told them this is the time to fix several issues affecting the population, issues such as retrenchment, joblessness, under-employment, and homelessness.
He appealed to them “leh we fix bread and butter issues, schooling issues, bullying issues, forced vaccination, and autonomy issues.”
Duke said the PDP will go forward with Farley Augustine as the candidate for Chief Secretary along with a team of strong candidates.
