Early morning killing in Morvant mere days before Christmas

A man was gunned down in Morvant early on Tuesday morning, just four days before Christmas.

A man was gunned down in Morvant early on Tuesday morning, just four days before Christmas.

According to a police report, at about 5 am, residents at Mon Repos Road heard a series of gunshots. Upon checking, they found a man lying dead on the road at the corner of Mon Repos Road and Laventille Extension, Morvant.

The deceased was identified as Nolan Samuel.

Police said Samuel was shot multiple times.

A motive is yet to be established for the killing.

A team of police officers—including Insp Bharath and officers from the Morvant CID, Inter Agency Task Force and the Homicide Bureau—responded to the report and examined and processed the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
