Minister of Education, Anthony Garcia, continued his tour of the nation’s schools today, with visits to, to view their implementation of some of the health and safety protocols stipulated by the Ministry, to keep the school environment COVID-19 free.
The Education Minister and Ministry officials visited the San Fernando West Secondary School and Debe S.D.M.S Primary School, today.
The Ministry team saw first-hand, how the South schools have been able to follow the new COVID-19 measures outlined in recent memoranda issued by the Ministry, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the protocols being implemented.
Teachers and students are expected to return to schools from next Monday 8th June 2020, to facilitate the completion of School Based Assessments (SBAs), as part of the CSEC and CAPE examinations.
Days after the Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith was able to rescue one of his officers from drowning, on Thursday 21 January 2021, two of his officers also took on the role as lifeguards, when they rescued four doctor friends who got into difficulties while bathing off the North Coast.
