Rhondor Dowlat-RostantA massive anti-crime police exercise took place in Cocorite amidst the inclement weather on Friday morning and eight people were detained on enquiries for various offences.The operation took place between 2 am and 8 am under the supervision of Snr Supt Ramjohn.According to a police report, police officers received intelligence of illegal activities in the area, and officers of the Western Division Task Force, Court and Process Unit, the Special Operations Response Team, the Joint Army Patrol Unit, and the Canine Unit, among others, went into the area and locked it down carrying out several searches.Eight people were taken into custody for questioning on various enquiries.
