Emergency works currently being carried out at Lucyvale Junction in Speyside, in the vicinity of the Speyside Recreational playground are expected to be completed this Friday, July 23rd, according to an advisory from the Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment (DIQE) in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).

DIQE/THA says the exercise is in keeping with the Division’s ongoing thrust to ensure that drainage infrastructure is maintained, alleviating flooding and erosion within communities.

DIQE/THA explains that the drainage works, which began today, Monday July 12th, will be conducted on weekdays between the hours of 7:00am and 4:00pm.

As such, the motoring public will encounter single lane traffic on the roadway during working hours, and all road users are being encouraged to exercise extreme caution when approaching and leaving this area.
