Customers in parts of Central Trinidad served by the Hermitage Booster Station, is experiencing low water pressures or no water due to a mechanical problem affecting one of the pumps at the facility.

According to this release from the Water and Sewerage Authority emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 4:00 p.m. on Friday 18th March, 2022. Details follow in this press release from WASA:

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of Central Trinidad served by the Hermitage Booster Station, who are presently experiencing low water pressures or no water that, this is due to a mechanical problem affecting one of the pumps at the facility.

Extensive emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 4:00 p.m. on Friday 18th March, 2022.

Affected areas include:

Hermitage Village, Soledad Road North and South, Springvale, Bandoo Village, Macaulay, Caratal, Laloo Street and environs.

The Authority further advises that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of these repairs.
