Kerin Jordan who pleaded not guilty to firearm and ammunition possession was granted $50,000 bail when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Adrian Darmanie at the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court earlier today. As part of his bail conditions Jordan has to sign in at the Cunupia Police Station twice per week. The matter was adjourned to February 14th.
According to police reports, Jordon, 21, of Dass Branch Trace was held by police during a mobile patrol in the area. Officers observed the suspect standing along the roadway. He allegedly looked in their direction but as the police vehicle stopped he began to run. The officers chased and caught him. He was then searched and one Glock 19 pistol with eight rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition was allegedly found on him. He was arrested and subsequently charged by PC Williams with possession of a firearm and ammunition.
