A farmer, tending to his crops in Aripo, was reportedly shot and wounded when a trap gun went off. According to a police report, the 60-year-old man was in his garden located within a forested area in the Heights of Aripo when he was shot and wounded on the right foot. The incident occurred on Saturday at about 4 pm. The farmer was taken to the Arima Hospital. The farmer allegedly told police that he was in the company of a friend when the incident happened. Both men alleged that they knew nothing about trap guns being set in the area. Police officers led by PC Ramlogan and WPC Joseph visited the scene and are continuing investigations.
