A 30-year-old Marabella fisherman will appear before a San Fernando Magistrate, charged with three counts of sexual penetration against a minor.

A report stated that the fishermen lived at his victim’s home in Marabella for approximately five years.

On three occasions between January 1 and March 30, 2018, the fishermen had sex with the girl who was eight years old at the time. The girl told her school friends which eventually led to her parents learning of the acts in 2019. It was then the fisherman moved out the home.

The girl’s parents reported the incident to Marabella police. Investigators took the girl to the Princes Town District Health Facility where a doctor confirmed the penetration. Following inquiries, police arrested the fisherman on Wednesday, and WPC Nicole St John charged him with the offence yesterday.
