SHASTRI BOODAN
There was major flooding on the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway in the vicinity of the Freeport Flyover on Sunday.
The area became flooded after heavy waters from the eastern side of the highway overflowed from the concrete cylinders that usually take waters from the median of the highway onto a nearby watercourse.
Heavy rains on Sunday filled the watercourse in a very short space of time.
Traffic had to slow down considerably in order to safely traverse the flooded highway.
