The Police Service Commission has appointed Gary Griffith to act as Commissioner of Police for the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, according to an official statement issued by the Commission, today.

Gary Griffith’s tenure as Police Commissioner ended officially this week, and the PSC has moved to confirm that he will continue to act in the post, until further notice:

“The public is advised that, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and in accordance with Clause 4 of Legal Notice 183 of 2021, THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE AND DEPUTY COMMISSIONER OF POLICE (SELECTION PROCESS) ORDER, 2021, Mr. Gary Griffith has been appointed to act as Commissioner of Police until the completion of the selection process for the office of Commissioner of Police as prescribed in Clause 3 of Legal Notice 183 of 2021.”
