Investigations are continuing into an incident in which two occupants in a vehicle were shot at by gunmen; however, the driver of the vehicle was able to turn around and escape.

According to a police report, at about 4 pm on Thursday, two men ages 20 and 18 years and both from Tattoo Trace, Valencia, were in a white B14 vehicle proceeding along the roadway when, upon reaching the vicinity of Lp 18 on Tattoo Trace, they saw two masked men dressed in dark coloured clothing, and both armed with firearms.

One of the men reportedly pointed a firearm in the direction of the vehicle and opened fire.  The driver of the B14 quickly turned around and proceeded in the opposite direction, escaping the gunmen.

Police said both suspects also fled the scene by running off in the other direction.

A report was made, and the scene was visited by Ag/ Insp Simon, and Sgt Leon, along with officers of the Valencia Police Post.  The victims pointed out certain areas to the officers; WPC Beekley and PC Ragoobar visited and processed the scene, and four spent shells were recovered.

No-one was injured in the shooting incident.
