A middle-aged man without comorbidities is among 11 people who succumbed to COVID-19 yesterday.

According to the Ministry of Health update, the other deaths were five elderly males, two elderly females, two middle-aged females and one middle-aged male with comorbidities.

The recent fatalities bring the country’s toll up to 1,584.

The ministry also confirmed 297 additional cases yesterday from samples collected between October 11 and 14. But with only 149 people being released as recovered cases, this meant active cases jumped to 4,315.

Of those who recovered, 136 were from home self-isolation while 13 were from public healthcare facilities.

Up to 4 pm yesterday 607,311 people received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine with 562,650 of them completing their vaccination regime.
