Members of the Hard Grounds Hunters Search and Rescue team are expected to comb the heavily forested area of the Heights of Aripo today, in search of missing father of two David Neeranjan, 45, of St Helena, Piarco.

Head of the search and rescue team, Ren Gopiesingh yesterday confirmed this latest development in the missing person case to the Guardian Media.

He said the search is expected to commence around 9 am in the area where Neeranjan’s vehicle, a grey Toyota Corolla, was found burnt on Saturday night.

Neeranjan was last seen by his family at their Santa Monica Trace, St Helena, Piarco home around midday on Saturday.

It was reported that Neeranjan received a telephone call before leaving his home to go to the market to drop off items to a customer.

Neeranjan operated an online store, where customers would contact him for items he advertised on social media. He also delivered the items to the homes of his customers.

His disappearance was reported to the police, who are investigating the case.
