Police are working to ascertain a motive for the murder of an Indian national who was shot dead inside his car on Tuesday night.

Shrikanth Iyer, 26, who stayed at an apartment building along Purcell Street, San Fernando, was discovered dead in his Subaru vehicle around 9 pm last night.

According to a report, residents along Purcell Street heard the gunshots around 8:45 pm and contacted police. When Marabella responders arrived, they found Iyer, an employee of General Earth Movers Ltd, slumped in the driver’s seat with several gunshot wounds.
