An inquest has been ordered into the death of 24-year-old Shaddai Simon, also known as ‘Tallo’, of Waterhole, Cocorite, which occurred last Thursday, June 24th.
The instruction came from Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Roger Gaspard SC, today, Wednesday June 30th.
Reports are that around 11 pm on Wednesday 23rd June 2021, Simon was at his home when he got into a heated altercation with his girlfriend.
During the incident, Simon physically attacked the woman. She then allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed him.
Simon ran out the house and was taken to the St. James Medical Complex, where he died around 2:56 am on Thursday 24th June 2021.
The suspect, who was arrested by officers on that same date, was released from custody earlier today.
An inquest is to be conducted into Shaddai Simon’s death.
